John Cena will be casting in the 9th Fast & Furious franchise. On April Vin Diesel, who is one of the main characters in the franchise teased about John Cena being in the cast. The Universal has now officially confirmed that John Cena will be in the Fast and Furious 9.
Lots of WWE superstars are seen to transition into the world of Hollywood. John now follows similar career tractor as Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock in the WWE Universe.
John Cena has played in couples of movies already. He recently appeared n the Transformers franchise and will soon play a part in The Suicide Squad where he is rumored to play The Peace Maker.
John Cena had expressed his desire to work alongside Dwayne Johnson in the past. In one interview he said that he would like to work in The Fast and Furious movie series alongside Dwayne Johnson.
Lots of people wanted this to happen as well. However, John Cena’s wish to work alongside Dwayne will not be fulfilled as Dwayne Johnson is rumored to not appear in the Fast and Furious 9. I personally am quite bummed up about this. However, having John Cena into the cast is exciting as well.
John Cena expressed his joy tweeting “For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history. It’s an incredible honor to join this franchise and this family.”
Fast and Furious 9 was originally set to be released on April 19. The movie is now pushed back and will only set to hit the theaters on May 22, 2020. This was done to make room for the first spin-off in the series, Hobbs & Shaw which is going to be released on August 2.
