Netflix have been investing lots of money for original series in foreign market. There are lots of popular foreign shows like La casa de papel aka Money Heist , The Rain , Ellite , 3% and Many more. Now it seems Netflix is eyeing its Asian market and has been invested there more. Netflix has found success in India as Scared games and has been making lots of original series for korean and japan. Now Netflix is set to produce its first original thai drama called “The Stranded” (เคว้ง). Netflix just released the trailer and release date of this series and it looks intriguing .

What is The Stranded about?
In this series, a group of student is trapped in mysterious island due to the tsunami and they must learn to work together to survive But mysterious forces seem to work against them. Many of the plot of the show has been kept secret so that viewer have enough surprises watching this show. This show is made by Christian Durso and stars Papangkorn Lerkchaleampote, Chayanit Chansangavej, Chutavuth Pattarakampol in main role. Since, Netflix is the world’s leading internet entertainment service with 158 million paid memberships in over 190 countries so makers of this show tried to tell a global story which every one can related to while showing the thai cultures to the world.
Many people have pointed out this looks familiar with the show “Lost” and another Netflix original called “The I-land” which was called the worst series ever made by Netflix. So, it will be interesting to see what the makers of this show has in their mind for this show.
Since, this is the first Thai Netflix original show, Many people are waiting this to be release both in Thailand and rest of the world.
