The internet is absolutely LOSING IT over a viral feud between a food influencer and a luxury bakery in Scottsdale, Arizona. It all started when Aurora Griffo, who reviews restaurants under the TikTok handle “Glamorama,” posted what seemed like a pretty standard review of JL Patisserie. She complained about the bright green pistachio filling looking fake, called the coffee “super sour,” and roasted them for charging $5 for a canelé when she “didn’t even pay that in Saint-Tropez.” The video? Barely got 8,000 likes.
But then the bakery clapped back. HARD. Two days later, JL Patisserie’s CEO Jenna Leurquin posted her own video and it absolutely EXPLODED with over 5 MILLION likes and over 43 million view. In it, she dropped a bombshell: the influencer had allegedly reached out asking for a paid collaboration, but when the bakery said they didn’t have the budget, she supposedly tried to blackmail them. According to Leurquin, Griffo said if they gave her free food, she’d leave a good review. The bakery refused… but Griffo showed up anyway and left the negative review. The bakery came with RECEIPTS.
Leurquin walked through her shop showing off the pistachio paste they import from Italy, the premium flour from Europe, and their sourdough starter that takes SIX MONTHS to create. She even flashed screenshots of Griffo’s alleged comments on other restaurants’ pages, accusing her of bullying small businesses. Then Griffo fired back. The influencer posted her own response video, opening with: “Goddamn, someone finally stood up to me. I’ve got to say, f- -ing kudos, for real.” But then she denied everything, posting what appears to be DM screenshots showing she told the bakery she’d still do an “honest review” even in a collab.
She has since privated all her videos and wrote apology post for her video and claimed that it was not deliberate and her timing was wrong not her intention. So who’s telling the truth?
