As season one of the dark comedy starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini ended on a major cliffhanger – many fans are furious on whether the next season of the dead to me will come out or not. Since it’s release in may 2019 it’s been one of the most loved television series on Netflix with a loyal fan following.

Is Dead To Me renewed for the second season?
Along with her co-star Linda, Christina Applegate revealed that the show’s going to be renewed for the second season. She posted on her twitter feed saying “My girl, We got more time together! I love You” pointing to Linda, she said.
When is the Dead To Me Season 2 Release Date?
After receiving a good reaction from fans and critics alike, the show was renewed just after a month after the launch of season one. So dead to me season 2 was confirmed to get released. Although the official date of release has not been released yet, it is going to arrive around next Summer/Spring of 2020.
Dead To Me Season 2 Cast and Plot :
We are sure about the return of Applegate and Cardellini but there’s no official news of anyone joining the cast for season 2 yet. The first season of the dead to me ended in a cliffhanger with Jen and Judy standing over the dead body of Judy’s ex-fiance Steve and Jen seems to be the one who shot him.
But as the creator of the show, Liz Feldman said “the ending is not exactly what you think” , there must be some twist in the story for which we might have to wait till next season. He also said “Netflix will have to order a season two for us all to find out” whether or not Jen killed Steve.” As season one is filled with so many plot twists, subverting viewers from their expectations, season two is also expected to be like that. So guessing the story right away won’t be that easy. The revelation that the Judy who’s the new friend of Jen was responsible for hit and run of her husband -will surely make the further plot really interesting. Feldman also said “This show will always be a show that explores the dark sides and the light sides of grief, loss, forgiveness, and friendship. So suffice to say, there will be more darkness.”
What does more darkness mean? we’re not sure yet but season two will definitely answer that question. He also said that the show would continue building this insane friendship between Jen and Judy and wanted to create a situation where they’re forced together and they need each other now in some ways more than they did at the beginning of season 1.”That would obviously be an interesting story to watch.
As Season One still has tons of unanswered questions such as “What really happened between Steve and Jen?” “Will Judy finally get arrested for killing Ted?” “Has Jen forgiven Judy?” “What’s going to happen with Nick?” and many more. We hope that season two will surely bring the light to the story and we’are eagerly waiting for that. Although show makers have to do really hard work on story to make it compelling like that of season one, we hope they’ll do their best.
