The Blacklist is an American crime drama television series that debuted in 2013 on NBC. Raymond “Red” Reddington played by James Spader, is a former US Navy commander turned high-profile criminal who eludes arrest for decades, and voluntarily surrenders to the FBI. He tells the FBI that he has developed a list of the world’s most dangerous criminals throughout the years and is willing to provide information on their activities in exchange for immunity from prosecution. He does, however, insist on working exclusively with FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen, a rookie played by Megan Boone.
